Today is Bob Dylan's 70th birthday. In honor of a life filled with song and talent, whose works have inspired so many, I'm posting one of my favorite Dylan tunes as covered by powerhouse vocalist Joan Osborne, Man In the Long Black Coat:
Many happy returns of the day and I wish you could see 70 more.

Happy Birthday wishes to the man who made me look to the wind to find the answers ;). 70 years old...wow.
And hugs to you, dear Pamala, for a wonderful week!
The same to you, Marilyn dear! I hope you have a great week and a lovely long holiday weekend.
I'll raise a glass of something in honor of The Ultimate, maybe even the last Troubador. Happy Birthday Bob Dylan.
Hi there Pamela,
I noticed over on Nathan Bransford's blog we both put Ivy Hisslepenny as one of our favorite character names, so I decided to follow you :) That lady is really a trip and the name just fits her personality perfectly. I'm also an aspiring author, but I write YA.
Nice to meet you,
Ninja Girl
Thanks for stopping by Ninja Girl!
Ivy is divine, right? I love the Parasol Protectorate, obviously, and there's a ton of great names. On Nathan's post, I also listed Major Channing Channing (of the Chesterfield Channings) whom I've always assumed was named as a nod to Major Major. Carriger ranks up there with JK Rowling in giving her characters awesome names.
Hope to see you here again.
First of all belated happy birthday and now i am looking forward to your upcoming post
She sure can sing!
@zoekmachine, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my posts. I'm trying to manage my time better so that I can write AND update my blog more often.
Hey Caryn! Joan is an awesome singer, right? Definitely a win/win with her covering Dylan. Thanks for stopping by. I hope that all is well with you.
