Glimmers of Hope

I write adult fiction but this post from D4EO Literary agent Mandy Hubbard, about the children's market cleared away some major clouds for me.  Hope springs eternal for those of us who write across the lines.

You're welcome Pamela dear. It is a great article, right? I mean, I'm constantly lamenting all the elements in my manuscript that I think are going to get the door slammed in my face (multicultural heroine, time travel, Regency and modern voice/setting, multiple POVs, etc.) so this helped calm my nerves a little bit.

Thanks for stopping by! Will I see you in New York and if so, are you prepared to sing? ;-)

Ohhh! From your description in the comments, this sounds just like the kind of article I need to read right now. Thanks, Pamala!! Off to check it out ;).

p.s. If you and Pamela are singing karaoke, I want a front row seat!!

Hi Marilyn! *waves madly*

It's a great article and the areas of interest for the children's editors made me think that the landscape isn't quite so bleak for hopefuls like me.

The Nationals karaoke is fine by me. I'm just torturing the Southwestern namesake because I can, lol. I hope she wants to throw back a few and then belt out some tunes. How fun would that be?
