I've heard it in many of the wonderful workshops dealing with craft (how to layer and texture your novel for high impact, guide to great beginnings and the art of voice) and especially the sessions dealing with the publishing industry. Deliberation, attention and diligence with your body of work seems to be key. Rightly so.
I can't begin to tell how excited I am to attend the conference this year. Meeting all the authors whose work I've read and loved is very exciting. Even though many of them have multiple works published, they've been very friendly and open to the first timers or Virgin Queens as I like to refer to the newly initiated. I promise that I'm paying attention and considering the things I've done right with my story already and contemplating the changes needed to make the things I've done wrong, right. I know, I know--getting that grammar book at the RWA might be a good idea, lol.
Wish me luck.

I hope you have a wonderful time at conference, Pamala, and come home with much inspiration :)
Hi l.a.!
I did have a wonderful time and I'm slicing and dicing, polishing and shining a couple of chapters so that I can enter a contest. How's that for inspiration? Thanks for stopping by.
So...what did you think of your first National conference?? It was wonderful running into you (on the escalators...between worshops...in frantic mode during the Lit Signing :). Looking forward to hearing all of your impressions when we talk next!
